As Zodia Markets continues to expand, we’re pleased to welcome Adam Parnell and Ran Wei to our growing business development team. Both bring a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective that will help shape the next phase of our growth.

Ran Wei: global experience meets technical expertise

Born and raised in Beijing, Ran has always been driven by a curiosity for the world. After moving to the UK in 2016 to pursue both her undergraduate and master’s degrees, she quickly found her footing in the fast-paced world of crypto and global payments. With seven years of industry experience, Ran has developed a deep understanding of partnership management, working across multiple cross-border payment systems like SWIFT, SEPA, FPS, CHAPS, and ACH.

Most recently, she held the role of Senior Global Partnership Development Manager at Orbital, where she managed over 30 partnerships across the financial services spectrum – from banks and financial institutions to crypto custodians and liquidity providers. Her ability to navigate complex partnerships, combined with her knowledge of compliance and technology both complements and enhances the existing expertise within the wider team.

Outside of work, Ran’s adventurous spirit is hard to miss. She picked up skateboarding in 2022 and, despite a few daring moves landing her in A&E, she’s not one to shy away from a challenge – even when her physiotherapist suggests otherwise. This blend of resilience and boldness is just as evident in her professional life, and we’re looking forward to seeing how she channels that energy into her role at Zodia Markets.

Adam Parnell: driving growth with strategic execution

Adam’s path to fintech has been shaped by a mix of technical know-how and an international outlook. He cut his teeth at the Institute of Engineering and Technology, where he contributed to a record breaking 16-year sales high before moving into the fast-evolving fintech sector.

With over 17 years of experience, Adam has honed his expertise in sales and business development across multiple industries and has a proven track record of surpassing targets. Most recently, as Business Development Director for Liminal Custody, where he expanded the company’s presence across Europe and the Americas, driving significant growth as well as securing one of the firms largest new clients. Adam’s ability to blend strategic thinking with execution is what enables him to build strong sales funnels and cultivate key partnerships in various sectors across the globe.

With a reputation for securing high-profile clients, Adam will play an important role at Zodia Markets as he helps accelerate our business growth and expand our client base. When he’s not diving into the world of digital assets, Adam can be found on the slopes. A keen skier and snowboarder, Adam’s love for winter sports stems from his university days, where he not only competed but also led student ski trips to Austria.

Family is central to Adam’s life – his wife and two daughters are his core motivation, both grounding and driving his can-do approach to everything he does.
